An Ipswich man has been jailed for seven years for the ‘vicious’ unprovoked attack outside a newsagents in Tower Ramparts last year.
Shane Gull, 40, of Bull Road, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an attack on a 76-year-old man outside McColl’s on the morning of Thursday, March 19.
The victim was punched to the head, causing him to fall to the floor, and then kicked to the head and body at least 16 times.
