People Will Think Of Nothing But Amusement: Detroit's ABC 7 Meteorologist Dave Rexroth Loses Eye Playing With Fireworks

The chief meteorologist for Detroit's ABC 7 lost his eye in a tragic fireworks accident over the Independence Day weekend. Dave Rexroth, 48, was seriously injured while vacationing with his family in Iowa City and is currently hospitalized while he waits for surgery, after which he will be given a prosthetic eye. According to the Iowa City Police Department, officials with the Johnson County Ambulance Service and Iowa City Fire Department responded to an emergency at 10.07pm after reports of a man with severe burns.
